the third Ester Brinkmann actually came out several months ago. I never
heard "Weisse Nacht" but I have heard "totes rennen" and this one ("Der
Ubersetzer," with the yellow towel on the cover). The latest one is very
much in the more abstract vocal loop style, with little to no beats, mostly
more tape-loop sounding stuff. it's ok, but not as engaging to me as the
other stuff. I really like the balance of beats and samples/fx on "Totes
Rennen."
Some of his later work is too esoteric for my tastes, but I am looking
forward to hearing the Marcus Nikolai collaboration that just came out.
